Mobile number portability will be held for the first time in Delhi, Mumbai, Maharashtra and Gujarat Service Zone 1 and Zone Calcutta, Tamil Nadu (Chennai, including AP and Karnataka), September 20, 2009 and other countries after the application by March 30, 2010. Note that you pay much higher amounts to get new SIM cards and some much more pronounced under roaming charges when in fact they are still only homelessness within their own countries.
